Your journey will began in Durango at 8:45 am at the Durango Train Depot. Where you will Climb aboard the famous Historical Narration Duluxe“San Juan.” This distinctive, 30-passenger closed-vestibule coach built in 1887 features roomy, reversible, overstuffed seating in a wide three-across arrangement. You will arrive in Silverton approximately 3 ½ hours later where you will grab your luggage and walk the one block to you Historic Bent Elbow Hotel on the notorious Blair street.The Bent Elbow is loaded with history. After checking in to your hotel feel free to explore The Hisoric Gold and Silver mining town and enjoy a delicious lunch in one of our many amazing restruants.(at your expence) before meeting us at San Juan Backcountry to go on a 4×4 excursion out to our local ghost town Animas Forks. After returning to town we will drop you back at your hotel where you will step back in time for a wonderful dinner (provided by San Juan Backcountry and Bent Elbow Restruant and Saloon). Our spacious dining room is located on the main floor of The Bent Elbow, where you will enjoy quality dining in the un quality atmosphere of an original Old West Dining Room & Saloon, with a honky-tonk piano player and full bar The next morning you will just have to go down stairs to enjoy an eye opening breakfast before you head back over to San Juan Backcountry Headquarters to hope on board the bus for our extremely informative historical tour to the Old Hundred Mine and Museum and enjoy a sack lunch before boarding your San Juan Narrition Train Car to get you back down to Durango to complete your Silverton History Buff Experience

Schedule:

• 8:45am – Depart from Durango Train Station via San Juan Duluxe Narration to Silverton.
• 12:30pm – Arrive in Silverton and check into Hotel.
• 3:30pm-6:00pm- Ghost town tour
• 6:00pm –Dinner at The Bent Elbow Restruant and Saloon
• 6:00am-10:45am Eat Breakfast at The Bent and Enjoy the town of Silverton
• 11:00am to 2:00pm – Historic Silverton Mining and Museum Tours and Lunch
• 2:15-Depart from Silverton on your Historic Duluxe San Juan Narrition arriving in Durango at 6:00pm
